Born and Raised in Guatemala City C.A. Andrea Preti was always fascinated by the process of making chocolate. "There was only one chocolate factory in town" Andrea says, as a little girl she use to say "when I grow up Ill open my own Chocolate Shop". Sitting at her grandmother’s kitchen counter, Andrea watched her bake and fell in love with the pastry making world.

Andrea graduated High School, and got a 3 year middle school teaching degree. In 2004 Andrea Left home to pursue a degree in Restaurant Management at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. While attending to school she worked at a few local bakeries as the Pastry Chef Assistant. Andrea decided to change her major to Baking and Pastry but at the time, the school didn’t offer the Baking and Pastry Degree. Andrea Graduated from Culinary Arts in 2005 and took off to Italy, where she spent 6 months learning Italian cooking. In2006 she went back to The Art Institute, and graduated as a Pastry Chef.

Andrea is now the owner of Schakolad Chocolate Factory on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, where she makes handmade chocolates, customizes the chocolate in many different shapes and specializes in making edible Logos.

In hopes to brand her own chocolate in the future, Andrea Preti will continue with her chocolate careeruntil she achieves her "Sweetest" goal.
